The Peak District is England's oldest national park, designated as such in 1951, and ever since then it has been a haven for cyclists.

Being named the Peak District, you won't be surprised that there are quite a lot of hills to climb. You can still find some more 'gentle' cycling routes to do if you don't quite fancy slogging up the hills all day, but if you are a bit of a mountain goat, then you definitely won't be disappointed. Not only are the hills plentiful, some of them are also incredibly steep. Find yourself at the foot of Winnats Pass and you will have really earnt your Bakewell pudding from one of the numerous tea & cake shops enroute.

With magnificent scenery, interesting historic sights, and an array of wildlife, being out on the bike in the Peaks is always an adventure that will live long in the memory. Partnered with the ease of accessibility, the Peaks makes a perfect place to visit and ride your bike for a long weekend.

What's the plan

Day 1: Arrive in the Peak District

Arrive in Buxton in the Peak District National Park, which will be your base for your stay. We suggest a quick warm up ride up and over the nearby hills. We have a wide selection of routes for all types of abilities.

Day 2:

Here is an example route of what can be ridden on our Peak District Cycle Holiday. All routes can be tailor-made depending on what mileage and elevation you would like to do.

Day 3:

A visit to the Peak District would not be complete without climbing the famous Monsall Head & Cat & Fiddle, both of which can be reached on a looped route from your hotel. Contact us today to learn more about these climbs and organise a trip to cycle the Peak District.

Day 4: Departure day

There is time for one final cafe run round the Peak District. If you would like an extra night this can be arranged, just contact us below.
