Cycling London to Paris – between two of Europe’s most iconic capitals – is on most cyclists’ bucket lists. However, to make it just that bit more challenging we have set this classic in the context of a single day’s ride. But don’t worry, if your goal is simply to make it from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower at a more leisurely pace then that is fine too. With our ride leader ratios of 1 to every 5 or 6 clients everyone can cycle at their own pace and you’ll never be left behind. In total the route sees you travel some 294Km (180 miles) and climb around 2800M (9,000 ft) - and if speed is your thing then you can take up the extra challenge of covering this all in 24 hours! It is entirely up to you.
Leaving London on a Friday 16th July you’ll ride over the Sussex downs and the famous beacon at Ditchling with its fantastic views, then onwards to Newhaven where you can refuel with a hearty pub meal. After a few short hours rest on the ferry to Dieppe, you’ll then continue your journey on Saturday 17th July - down the famous Avenue Verte cycle route and on through the gentle undulations of the French countryside before entering the outskirts of Paris. Our final destination, the Eiffel Tower, is then but a few kilometres away.
And while you are in Paris, what could be better than witnessing the finale of the world’s greatest bike race? After an evening celebrating your achievement and a good night’s rest you can then install yourself on the route of the final stage of 2021 Tour de France and watch the pros race before we whisk you back to London on Eurostar. All you have to do is sit back and relax while we take care of transporting your bike.
